Come join our team for a summer internship opportunity to learn from the best, working in industry-leading facilities with resources at your fingertips to learn how to create and build Softgoods product from the ground up.

 WHAT YOU GET TO DO:

  • Build a strong foundation and understanding for creating commercial ready product from conception to market.
  • Assist in materials library organization and process implementation, gaining textile and trim material experience
  • Learn and work within our PLM software for spec and material database creation and management.
  • Work on selected inline projects and collaborate with cross functional teams across design, development, merchandising, and marketing
  • Work on select R&D projects through concept to commercialization sprints, practicing design thinking, rapid prototyping, consumer insight and product validation, and commercial viability.
  • Learn and understand product calendar and timelines to ensure development success.
  • Assist in the completion of new renovations at our on-site Craig’s R&D lab
  • Work directly with our Asia based R&D team and supplier base on project-based needs like prototyping, material procurement, spec and database inputs, etc. 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TEAM:

  • The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in fashion design, apparel production, engineering or other appropriate field.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years apparel design/development expertise.
  • Experience in Outdoor/Performance Apparel preferred
  • Knowledge of technical and lifestyle apparel markets.
  • Technical experience in materials, fabrications, garment construction, colors, and design processes.
  • Understanding of sourcing and costing processes.
  • Experience in conceptual garment illustration and detailed CAD or CLO illustration (a plus!).
  • Exposure to PLM, OneDrive, or SharePoint is a plus but not necessary.
  • Strong oral, written, and general language skills.
  • Computer skills: proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Solidworks (a plus!), Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to sit, stand and work on a computer for long periods of time, and work in a sometimes noisy environment
  • Team oriented, working cross-functionally with Development, Technical and Creative Design, and Merchandising.
  • Possess the ability to work independently and to be self-motivated
  • Extremely detail oriented, with strong organizational capabilities
