The Breakdown:

Chill is growing rapidly worldwide and as a result, the organization’s fundraising goals are growing and are time intensive. As the Development Database Support, you will assist Chill’s philanthropic revenue efforts by providing day to day administrative support to the Development & Database Manager.

This position is a seasonal part-time, $22hr/20 hours per week, non-exempt position starting immediately x 3 months. Candidates must live in the Burlington, VT area.

What You Get to Do:

  • Assist with maintenance and monitoring of Development database and data accessibility (fundraising, constituents), including daily extraction and/or loading data, and data authentication.
  • Organize, review, correct, and import large donor data files from multiple sources into Donor database.
  • Pull reports, reconcile payments, review data, and import 3rd party donations into Donor database.
  • Input (hard entry) constituent and donor gifts into database.
  • Assist with donor acknowledgments and receipts (paper and electronic) in a timely manner.
  • Distribute mail electronically, assist with cash and check deposit entry and bank deposit.
  • Ethically handle private data, including financial and personal data for donors and companies, including organizational details.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned, to support the Development Team.

  • A team player who is detail-oriented, enjoys a good spreadsheet, and meets deadlines
  • An effective communicator with the ability to actively listen, interpret, and act on what’s being communicated
  • Ability to work autonomously, with limited direction
  • Someone who possesses both analytical and conceptual thinking skills




Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Must have 2 years data entry experience or relevant education, including interacting with databases and utilization of Microsoft Office products with a focus on Microsoft Excel.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
  • Must have ability to work remotely and within commutable distance to Burlington, Vermont (an in-person office will be provided at Burton/Chill headquarters and a hybrid work schedule may be established).
  • Proof of full Covid-19 vaccination unless a federally approved exemption is provided.
